Bring Peace Not Pain...announces its school based program to celebrate Peace Day, September 21, 2009.
Bring Peace Not Pain has designed a
school based program for students to become active participants in the
UN International Day of Peace.
How does participating in Bring Peace Not Pain Peace Day Event help create Global Citizenship?
By exposing students to areas of need and to solutions, and then offering them an opportunity to be part of these solutions we are giving them a foundation in service and responsible philanthropy. Also, seeing that their actions have directly affected the quality of life for another human being can be a very empowering experience.
Why is acknowledging and becoming an active participants in PEACE DAY important for your students?
Because this world will soon belong to them and if they are to live in a world free of war and injustices it will be because they have learned that not only are they responsible for creating PEACE they are capable of achieving it…
one day...one person…one project at a time.
