"Bring Peace Not Pain" is a multifaceted grassroots initiative that has united followers throughout the world that share a quest for Peace, inner Peace and world Peace.
It is build on the basic principals that:
1) We are one, all human beings one interconnected whole, deserving of the same rights and freedoms
2) That individually and collectively we are capable and responsible for Peace...personal inner peace to global Peace.
Website - An information hub where one can access information and links to organizations as well as individuals that are making a difference in the world, a place where you can discover ways that you too can engage in the quest for PEACE, as well as find lists of books and movies that move and inspire.
Blog- examples of inspired writings (coming to me mostly in the middle of the night), and a way to connect with others.
Film Series - The Film series will sponsor screenings of independent films that will educate and inspire people, take us out of our personal, political, geographical space while tackling diverse and challenging subjects, expose us to the resilience of the human spirit and show us examples of our basic human ability to be agents of change.
Speakers Series - The Speaker Series currently offers four topics:
1) PEACE...an Overview...why it escapes us and how we have the Power to achieve it!
2) Reconnecting with your Inner Peace …We must conquer the demons in our own hearts and minds before we can begin to embracing PEACE either in our relationships or on a global front.
3)Taming our Challenging Interpersonal Relationships and Enhancing our Loving Ones… Our personal and profession interactions create the frame work for our lives.
4) We are ONE…Bridging our Differences…If we hope to witness the end of injustices the world over, it will be by, understanding… knowing that we are not only all equal and deserving of the same rights and responsibilities but even more importantly that we are one...one body of life, one race...one interconnected whole.
To some cultural/lifestyle differences, like many things that we don’t understand can be frightening and threatening, so the more we are introduced to persons of varying faiths, nationalities or lifestyles the more we will begin to recognize our similarities and appreciate our differences. The more we will understand that we are one.
Peace Challenges - These are designed to engage various constituencies in thoughts and actions relating to peace. Currently we are running the Peace Song Challenge.
